If you use other characters, filtering will not work.<\/p>\n<h2>Options for applying tags<\/h2>\n<p>There are many ways to use tags. Let&#8217;s consider some examples.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For analytics<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, you assign different tags to all new people and those who paid. And then you can filter and view the conversion rate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/filtracziya-podpischikov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filtering<\/a> people<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, you segment your audience and assign a specific tag to each segment. You can filter people by tag and see how many people you have in each segment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In manual broadcasting<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, you want to send a broadcasting to those who subscribed but didn&#8217;t pay for it.<br \/>\nIn the broadcasting settings, set the appropriate rules and tags. This means that the broadcasting goes only to the target people.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the audience is determined when the broadcasting is triggered. It will be sent to as many people as fall under the condition at that time. If there are currently 10 people for a certain tag, but this number may soon increase, for example, to 20, then it will go to the number of people that will be available at the time of sending the broadcasting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For setting conditions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In multi-step flows, you can create variations by using tags.<br \/>\nFor example, a person will receive a tag as soon as they pay for an item.<br \/>\nAnd if they have a tag, then by the condition of this tag, the user will follow a specific chain. If there is no tag\u2014 they will follow a different one.<\/p>\n<h2>Where can a tag be assigned<\/h2>\n<p><strong>On landing pages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you add a tag in the landing page settings, it will be assigned to everyone who subscribes via this landing page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mini-landing and VK landing pages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the appropriate field, enter the appropriate tag and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648106226421-0u3qi5v2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>In multi-step flows<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tag is assigned in the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/dejstviya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Action<\/a> block. This happens after the person passes this step of the flow.<\/p>\n<p>1. Add a new action.<br \/>\n2. Go to action settings.<br \/>\n3. Add a new &#8220;Add Tag&#8221; action.<br \/>\n4. Enter a tag name.<br \/>\n5. Save.<\/p>\n<p>Actions can be added after any step. For example, you can mark with a tag those who clicked on the corresponding button or followed the link.<br \/>\nYou can track the transition using the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/usloviya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conditions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In automation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Keywords<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The tag is assigned immediately after the automation is triggered. The person entered the keyword \u2014 automation was triggered \u2014 the tag was assigned.<br \/>\nAdd the &#8220;Add Tag&#8221; action in the automation settings.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Payment acceptance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The tag will be assigned after successful payment. To do this, click on the cross mark next to the tag name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In actions<br \/>\n<\/strong>Add the &#8220;Remove Tag&#8221; action. Actions are available in flows, sequences, and automations.<br \/>\nYou can configure removal in the same way as adding the tag. But instead of the &#8220;Add Tag&#8221; action, add the &#8220;Remove Tag&#8221; action. You have to select the tag from the list.<\/p>\n<h2>Mass actions with tags<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Set and remove a tag for a group of people<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the &#8220;People&#8221; section.<\/li>\n<li>Select people with the appropriate tag.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;Mass Actions&#8221; button to open the list of mass actions.<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Set Tag&#8221; or &#8220;Remove Tag&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>From the drop-down list, select the tag that you want to set or remove from the people&#8217;s profiles, and click on the corresponding button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Tag Assignment Date<\/h2>\n<p>Every time a tag is assigned to a subscriber, BotHelp records the assignment date. In addition to filtering by the tag itself, you can also filter subscribers by <strong>when<\/strong> the tag was assigned. For example, you can find everyone who received the <strong>Paid<\/strong> tag within the last week.<\/p>\n<p>The tag assignment date can be used in several areas of your workspace:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Subscribers<\/strong> and <strong>Conversations<\/strong> \u2014 In addition to the <strong>Tags<\/strong> filter, you can filter by the assignment date. Select a specific date or a date range in the <strong>Assignment Period<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Condition<\/strong> block \u2014 Use the tag name together with its assignment date to route subscribers through different branches of your flow.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Broadcast sending conditions<\/strong> \u2014 Combine the tag name with its assignment date to target a more specific audience segment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subscriber profile tooltip<\/strong> \u2014 In the <strong>Subscribers<\/strong> and <strong>Conversations<\/strong> sections, hover over a tag in the <strong>Custom Tags<\/strong> block to see a tooltip showing when the tag was assigned. This lets you quickly identify when a subscriber entered a particular segment without using filters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subscriber export<\/strong> \u2014 The tag assignment date is included in the exported file along with the subscriber&#8217;s other data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the same tag is assigned to a subscriber more than once, BotHelp stores and displays the <strong>most recent<\/strong> assignment date.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Filter Subscribers by Tag Assignment Date<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Subscribers<\/strong> or <strong>Conversations<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n<li>Add the <strong>Tags<\/strong> filter and select the required tag.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Assignment Period<\/strong> field, choose a specific date or date range.<\/li>\n<li>Apply the filter. The results will include subscribers who received the selected tag during the specified period.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>When Tag Assignment Dates Are Available<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BotHelp has been recording tag assignment dates since <strong>July 2, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tags assigned <strong>before<\/strong> this date do not have an assignment date in the system. As a result:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No assignment date tooltip is displayed for those tags.<\/li>\n<li>They cannot be found using the assignment period filter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For this reason, dates earlier than <strong>July 2, 2026<\/strong> cannot be selected in the date picker. Hovering over an unavailable date displays a tooltip explaining that tag assignment tracking started on this date.<\/p>\n<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Difference between tags and UTM tags.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/utm-metki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UTM tags<\/a> are used to track external subscription sources. For example, you can add them to the link to the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/lendingi-dlya-vkontakte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VK landing<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/mini-lendingi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mini-landing<\/a>, as well as to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bothelp.io\/en\/direct-link-to-launch-the-flows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the direct link of the flow<\/a>.<br \/>\nUTM tags are stored in special fields inside the user profile.<\/p>\n<p>The usual <strong>internal tags<\/strong> are needed for operation and analytics inside the BotHelp platform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to remove tags from the list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Video Tutorial:<br \/>\n<iframe
