They are used for internal funnel setup.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"250\" data-end=\"394\">All delays in flows and autoresponders operate according to the time zone of the account. You can select the account&#8217;s time zone in the settings.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053686858-qzw6qp4t.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"429\"><strong data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"429\">Where to Find Delays<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"545\">In multi-step flows, there&#8217;s a separate step that adds a delay. This step can be added at any point in your funnel.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053687249-819yh6sn.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"568\"><strong data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"568\">Settings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"689\">The delay time is counted from the previously sent step.<br data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"629\" \/>Example: the subscriber will receive one message per minute.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053686755-8u2vkl3h.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"744\">Or, they will receive one message every day at 12:00.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053687306-cxw8iy79.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"764\"><strong data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"764\">Types<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"804\"><strong data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"802\">Send After a Certain Period<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"862\">Send the next message after N seconds\/minutes\/hours\/days.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053687201-tdkm53xb.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"1404\">\n<li data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"973\">\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"973\"><em data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"876\">Example:<\/em> &#8220;Send after 1 day&#8221; means waiting 24 hours after the previous message, then sending the next one.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1181\">\n<p data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1181\">If you set &#8220;1 day at 8 AM&#8221; and the subscriber receives the first step at 9 PM, the bot will wait until 9 PM the next day, then send the next message in the next allowed time slot \u2014 8 AM the following day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1287\">\n<p data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1287\">You can configure <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/wrc7F5qycJc\">second-based<\/a> delays (from 0 to 60) in flows. This is not available in autoresponders.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1667307846813-p7v1usix.png\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1404\">\n<p data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1404\"><strong data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1305\">Important:<\/strong> Cycles are not allowed for second-based delays. If a subscriber enters the delay at 7:02, the next step will be sent at 7:00 the <strong data-start=\"1747\" data-end=\"1755\">next<\/strong> day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1791\"><strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1789\">Send After&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1792\" data-end=\"1879\">You can define a time range during which the delay is allowed to send the next message.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1881\" data-end=\"1998\">\n<li data-start=\"1881\" data-end=\"1998\">\n<p data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1998\"><em data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1893\">Example:<\/em> If the range is 08:00\u201318:00 and the delay ends at 19:20, the message will be sent at 08:00 the next day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648053686989-4gt6hin0.png\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2005\" data-end=\"2041\"><strong data-start=\"2010\" data-end=\"2039\">Day of the Week Selection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2042\" data-end=\"2112\">You can choose which day(s) of the week the next message will be sent.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2254\">\n<li data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2254\">\n<p data-start=\"2116\" data-end=\"2254\"><em data-start=\"2116\" data-end=\"2128\">Important:<\/em> If set to &#8220;Tuesday at 10:00&#8221; and the subscriber enters the delay at 10:02, the bot will wait until <strong data-start=\"2228\" data-end=\"2236\">next<\/strong> Tuesday at 10:00.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2261\" data-end=\"2285\"><strong data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2285\">Key Timing Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2287\" data-end=\"2341\">The time is always counted from the <strong data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2335\">previous<\/strong> step.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2343\" data-end=\"2457\">\n<p data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2457\"><em data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2357\">Example 1:<\/em> First step sent at 16:10, second should come at 16:40. Use either &#8220;after 30 minutes&#8221; or &#8220;at 16:40.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2668\"><em data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2473\">Example 2:<\/em> If the first step is set for &#8220;Thursday at 16:10&#8221; and the second should also be on the same day at 16:40, then set the second step\u2019s delay to &#8220;after 30 minutes&#8221; without selecting a weekday again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"94\">Presence Effect<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"96\" data-end=\"194\">The <strong>\u201cPresence Effect\u201d<\/strong> tool is available for Telegram and Facebook in flows.<\/p>\n<p>The presence effect is an intentional delay before sending the next message (simulating typing).<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"364\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1ku60py\" data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"259\">The effect can be added before any card in a \u201cMessage\u201d step.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1jl3lqc\" data-start=\"260\" data-end=\"319\">You can add the effect multiple times to a single card.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1voimn0\" data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"364\"
