If someone has this token, they can freely use it, for example, for unauthorized broadcasting on behalf of your bot.<\/p>\n<p>To protect yourself, we recommend updating the tokens of your Telegram bots in the following cases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>changing the service for creating bots,<\/li>\n<li>after the work of third-party specialists in your accounts,<\/li>\n<li>after creating a new profile on the platform using the same bots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Instructions for updating the token<\/h4>\n<p>\u2757\u2757\u2757<em>To ensure that the bot does not malfunction due to the token update, first fully study our instructions. Updating the token is safe for the chain if you complete all the steps quickly enough. We recommend choosing a time when there is no mass message sending planned in your chains.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Open Telegram, make sure that the account that owns the bot is selected. Find the bot <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/BotFather\">@BotFather<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648024564112-xlaxitz6.png\" width=\"486\" height=\"329\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Type the \/<strong>mybots<\/strong> command to see the list of your bots, and select the one you want. Click the <strong>API Token<\/strong> button, then <strong>Revoke<\/strong> <strong>Current Token<\/strong>. Click on the new token to copy it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dii\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.io\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1648024565583-xmwbs1i5.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you are not using a bot yet, and you only need to exclude the possibility of unauthorized access, then this will be enough.<\/p>\n<p>If you continue to use the bot on the BotHelp platform, then the bot needs to be reconnected for correct operation.<\/p>\n<h4>\nReconnecting the Telegram bot<\/h4>\n<p>Go to your BotHelp account in the &#8220;Settings&#8221; section \u2014 &#8220;Channels&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Find the right bot. Click on the &#8220;\u205d&#8221; button, then <strong>Turn Off Channel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.app\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1692964191145-az6z676g.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A warning window will appear. Confirm the action.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" src=\"https:\/\/files.carrotquest.app\/knowledge-bases-images\/articles\/49290\/49290-1692964230441-lix8mydl.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The channel is disabled. Now you need to reconnect it.<\/p>\n<p>Click the <strong>Add New Channel<\/strong> button, select Telegram in the window that appears, and insert the new token provided by the bot <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/BotFather\">@BotFather<\/a> below. Then find yourself in the &#8220;Conversations&#8221; section and send a message to yourself on behalf of the bot.
