A direct link allows you to launch the bot without going through the mini-landing page. The subscriber will simply need to follow this link in the messenger, click the Start , and the message chain from the chatbot will start.
To go to the messenger from your site, we recommend using widget buttons or widget subscriptions .
Examples when you might need a direct link to a bot:
- the standard design of widget buttons is not suitable;
- you want to place a link on the site, not a button;
- you need to launch the bot using a link from an email;
- need a direct link for other reasons.
Link from bot settings
Telegram, Viber* and Facebook chatbots * we display direct links in the bot settings.
In the editor of the desired bot, open the settings (gear icon ⚙️), go to the "Settings" section and copy the link.
🚩 This link will immediately launch the bot chain for all your subscribers without any additional settings (mini-landings, automation, etc.).
Direct link from bot settings to a link with "https"
Using the deeplink tool:
A deep link is a direct link like https://t.me/ that directs the user to a specific step of a specific bot. The link is generated automatically. More details .

This link will not transmit UTM tags and parameters.
Link from mini-landing page settings
You can also copy the link to the bot chain or auto-mailing from the mini-landing page.
Set up a mini-landing page, add buttons for the required messengers and copy the link.
🚩Clicking on such a link will not change the statistics of views and clicks on the button on the mini-landing. This link bypasses the mini-landing and is not connected to the buttons.
🚩This is not a regular link, but a special link for launching a bot in an application of the type tg://…
Inside Telegram it will be clickable.
If you try to paste this link into the browser address bar and press Enter, nothing will happen. The link must be placed on the site as a link or embedded in a button on the site - only then will it be clickable.
Link for VKontakte bot
There is no direct link for VK chatbots. Use the link to the VK landing page with auto-subscription.

Need a link starting with "https"
For Telegram bots, you need to convert the link according to this example.

For WhatsApp*, VKontakte and Facebook* the link already starts with “https”.
for Viber* .
Pass UTM tags in direct links
You can configure the transmission of UTM tags in direct links of Telegram bots. You can read about this in the article .
🚩In other messengers, when using a direct link, UTM tags and goals will not be transmitted. Subscribers will be assigned regular internal tags.
