These features will be useful if you or another account agent sent a message with an error in a dialogue with a subscriber and want to delete or edit this message.

The functions are available in the web version of the service and in the BotHelp mobile application in dialogues with subscribers of telegram bots.

agent with the role of "Administrator", "Editor" and "Agent" can delete or edit their message within 48 hours after sending. It can be sent by them or another agent.

Deleting messages

If an agent's message is deleted from a chat with a subscriber in Telegram, it will remain marked as "Deleted from subscriber" in the "Dialogues" section of BotHelp.

Important: You cannot delete messages sent by a bot, mailing list, or automatic mailing list from the Dialogues section

To delete a message from an agent in the web version of the service:

  1. Go to the "Dialogues" section.
  2. Open the required dialogue with the subscriber.
  3. Click the Actions on the desired message from the agent.

4. Click the Delete button for the subscriber .

5. Confirm your actions in the pop-up window.

6. The message from the agent will be deleted from the subscriber's Telegram chat.
In the BotHelp dialog, the message will be marked as "Deleted from subscriber".

To delete a message from an agent in the BotHelp mobile app:

  1. Go to the "Dialogues" section.
  2. Open the required dialogue with the subscriber.
  3. Click on the three dots " ⫶" on the desired message.
  4. Click the Delete button for the subscriber .

5. Confirm your actions in the pop-up window.

6. The agent's message will be deleted from the subscriber's Telegram chat.
In the BotHelp dialog, the message will be marked as "Deleted from subscriber".

If a subscriber has blocked a conversation, it will not be possible to delete the message.

Editing messages

Important: in the "Dialogues" section you cannot edit messages sent by a bot, mailing list or automatic mailing list.

To edit an agent message in the web version of the service:

  1. Go to the "Dialogues" section.
  2. Open the required dialogue with the subscriber.
  3. Click the Actions on the message from the agent.

4. Click the Edit .

The message will open in edit format.

5. Make the necessary changes.

6. Save the changes.

The message will be updated in the BotHelp dialogue and in the telegram channel.

To edit an agent message in the BotHelp mobile app:

  1. Go to the "Dialogues" section.
  2. Open the required dialogue with the subscriber.
  3. Click on the three dots " " on the agent's message.
  4. Click the Edit .
    The agent's message will open in edit format.
  5. Make the necessary changes.
  6. Save the changes.

The agent's message will be updated in the BotHelp dialog and in the telegram channel.

Please note the features of the message editing function in Dialogues:

  • You cannot edit a sent voice message.
    Delete it and send a new one if necessary.
  • If a subscriber has blocked a dialogue, it will not be possible to edit the message.
  • You cannot add a signature to messages with an attachment (picture/document) when editing.
