WhatsApp provides companies with access to the API upon prior request. Connecting numbers to the WhatsApp Business API (WABA) is done through a partner service.
You can register a new number in the BotHelp account settings. Click the Add channel , and further connection and configuration occurs in the 360Dialog modal window.
Please note that using WhatsApp is a paid service.
Prices for a channel and template messages are $20 and from $0.0477 respectively.

Conditions for connecting to WABA
WhatsApp has certain requirements for those who are granted access to its API:
- Your business manager must be verified by Facebook.
- You must have a phone number that is not currently connected to Whatsapp. A virtual number or SIM card will do.
To confirm the number, you must accept a call or SMS.

Registering a number on WhatsApp
- Once your business is verified in Facebook Business Manager*, click here . Register a new account or sign in to an existing one.
- Fill in the business information.
After filling out the form, link your 360Dialog account to Facebook in 3 steps .

Step 1.
Select a verified Facebook Business Manager.
Adding Display Name and Other Information to WhatsApp
Step 2.
Display name
Enter your WhatsApp display name. This is the name of your bot that all subscribers will see. There are 3 options:
- The legal name of the company, as in Facebook Business Manager.
- Company name - for this step, add your website, which you verified in Facebook Business Manager.
- Expert/trainer name - add a link to the site and a status, for example, "sales expert". Important: Facebook will not accept just a first and last name as a display name. Subscribers must understand that this is a business account.
Other information
Select a category. Skip the "Business Description" section.
Verify phone number
Step 3.
Select your country code, enter your phone number and use one of two types of number verification.
Text Message - you will receive an SMS with a confirmation code on your phone.
Voice Call - a robot will call you and repeat the code until you enter it.
Congratulations! Registration in 360Dialog is complete. Waiting for confirmation of Whatsapp Business API (WABA).
Once the verification is complete, the progress bar will be all blue, as in the screenshot below.
On average, Whatsapp Business API verification takes 2-3 days .
If there is no confirmation , write to 360Dialog technical support. A Russian-speaking operator will answer you.
API key
Once WABA is confirmed, in the "Account" section, click Generate API key .
Save the API key and copy it to BotHelp.
Important: If you click this button again, a new API key will be created.
Once you have received the API key, you can proceed to connecting WhatsApp to BotHelp.

How to change information in WhatsApp
If you want to change any information displayed to subscribers in WhatsApp, go to the "Profile" section. There you can change the account picture, description, status and other data.
