It is possible to install a widget on your site for subscribing to channels and groups to launch site visitors into a messenger funnel.

The subscription widget will help:

  • collect contacts and start online correspondence in a messenger convenient for the visitor (WhatsApp*, VKontakte, Telegram, Viber). All dialogues will be reflected in BotHelp, and the received data can be easily transferred to the required CRM;
  • retain website visitors and increase their loyalty. Offer them to subscribe to news about discounts, new arrivals, get a promo code with a discount, bonuses. There are other lead magnets.

Setting

In the widget settings you can define its appearance and connect the necessary buttons.

  • Under the Growth Tools section, select Subscription Widget.
  • Enter the widget name, title, description, image/video, and tags that will be assigned to the subscriber when the funnel is launched.
  • In growth tools "Subscription widget" There is a possibility to add videos.

    Videos from YouTube, VK, Rutube, Dzen and BotHelp Storage are supported.
    Videos can only be added if you have not added an image.

    • To add a video, paste the link to it into the input field
      • To add a video from Dzen, go to the "Share" section, "Embed" and copy part of the link from the skin below

 

  • Add messenger buttons to display in the widget. You need to select a bot or auto-mailing that will be launched upon subscription. For VKontakte, select VK-landing.
  • Set the widget background to light or dark.

Type

The widget can be embedded into a page of your site or appear in a separate window.

  • An embedded widget is inserted into a website page. Placement and layout are on
    the user's side. Example:

  • Modal window (pop-up) is a pop-up widget. Example:

 

 

  • All settings are the same for both types.

If you already have a widget of one type installed on your site, DO NOT change the type in the platform account settings.

Display settings

When you select the "Modal window" (pop-up) widget type, widget display settings appear.

When the widget appears:

  • Immediately. The pop-up appears immediately.
  • After seconds. A field for entering the number of seconds (1‒3600) appears. The pop-up appears after the specified number of seconds.
  • Page scroll percentage. A field appears for entering the percentage (1‒100). The pop-up appears when the page is scrolled to a certain percentage.

Show widget to the same user again:

  • Never.
  • Always.
  • Hours. A field for entering the number of hours appears. The widget will be shown to this visitor again, but after the specified number of hours.

If the user closed the widget, show it again:

  • Never.
  • Always.
  • Hours. A field for entering the number of hours appears. The widget will only appear again to this visitor after he/she has closed it after the specified number of hours.
  • Days. A field appears to enter the number of days. The widget will only appear again to this visitor after they have closed it after the specified number of days.

The subscription widget, when implemented via pop-up, is displayed on a third-party website in accordance with the specified display settings.

Installation

  • Install the javascript code on your website. This code allows BotHelp to display the widget on your website and track contact activity. You only need to install the code on your website once. Add the code to the section<head> on every page of the website.

  • Insert widget. This code allows you to place the widget on your site where you want it to appear.

Important : The code only needs to be installed on the site once. Then you can change the display and funnel directly in the widget settings in the account - they will change automatically on the site.

Frequently asked questions

How to track conversions with Facebook pixel* when installing a widget on a website?

You need to insert a pixel on the site. Conversion tracking and other analytics in the case of widgets are on the user's side.

How to set up data collection (email, phone) on the site via a widget?

This is not currently provided. We will add it in the future.

I clicked something and everything on the site broke.

You may have changed the format of the pop-up/embed widget. There is no need to change it.

Is it possible to pass UTM tags when subscribing from a widget? 

Yes, if the widget buttons are installed on a site with UTM tags added to the link. Then the tags will be transferred to our platform when the user subscribes.

Is it possible to insert several widgets into different blocks on one page of the site?

Yes, you can use multiple widgets on a page. And there is also the possibility to combine widgets on the site.

How to add a video to a subscription widget?

Since the video embed code for the widget and mini-landing page is different, the video used on the mini-landing page may not be displayed. You need to copy the video link via embedding and specify it in the widget subscription settings:
