The import will allow you to download people from another service or profile. If you have previously used platforms to create chatbots and autofunnels and have gained a people base there, you can easily upload them to BotHelp.
You will save the collected database when you move and will be able to use the functionality of our platform in full.
Exporting from other systems
To upload a file to BotHelp, you have to download the list of people from another system. Contact the technical support of the platform you are using and ask how to download the file with people. Documents in CSV and TXT format are accepted for import. The file should contain only the user IDs in messengers.
An example file is available in your account.
(!) Please note: if you have several communities or flows, download a separate file for each channel.
Upload to BotHelp
- 1. Go to the “People” section and click the import button.
- 2. Select the channel for which you want to import people.
- 3. Enter a tag for segmentation.
- 4. Upload the file.
(!) Please note that Facebook* imports without a file automatically. Read more about this below.
- 5. Click on import button.
- 6. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page. People will be displayed in the list.
The import process takes some time, depending on the size of the database being imported. For example, a base of ~12,000 people will take several minutes to import.
Importing for Facebook
Facebook itself determines the people who subscribe to your community’s posts. When you select a Facebook channel, the number of uploaded people is displayed. You do not have to select the file.
Import for VKontakte
You have to connect the community and upload the file. Learn more about importing for VKontakte
Important! Keep track of the number of people you import and your tariff. If their number exceeds the tariff limit after import, it will automatically increase and you will receive the difference as a debt.
Import for WhatsApp*
So far, there is no import for WhatsApp, so it will not be possible to transfer the people base from another service.
Import for Instagram*
So far, there is no import for Instagram, so it will not be possible to transfer the people base from another service.
Who is imported
Only people who have had conversations with your flow/community and are present in the file are imported.
Import history
The history of imported files is available in the “Import” section.
The chart for completed imports shows the file, its format, the date and time of import, the channel, the number of people added, and the number of unsuccessful requests.
If the import has not been completed yet, the status “In progress” is displayed.
By clicking on the file, error details are available.
The full report for each person ID is displayed in CSV format.
Disconnect the channel from another system
For the message chains to work correctly, your channels (flows and communities) have to be connected to only one system at a time. Otherwise, problems will arise, as the systems will conflict.
After import
After importing, you can send people a single message using manual broadcasting or add them to the sequences (a chain of several messages with delays).
