Facebook Pixel* allows you to measure performance, optimize ads, and create audiences for advertising campaigns.

Connecting a pixel to a mini-landing page

The way to create and install a Facebook* pixel is described in the article.

To use the Facebook* pixel, copy its ID in the advertising profile and paste it into the appropriate field when setting up the mini-landing page.

After connecting the pixel, be sure to:

  • go to your mini-landing page via the link,
  • click the button of any messenger,
  • receive messages from the flow.

This is necessary for the “Lead” event to be transmitted. If you don’t do this, you won’t be able to set up a conversion.

It is necessary that several people go to the landing page and start the chain, then the data will be received.

Note. You can place one pixel on several landing pages, but you have to set up separate events for each landing page, otherwise statistics from all landing pages will be sent to one event.

Mini-landing page events

Our mini-landing pages work differently from the standard ones. When creating a pixel, you do not have to enter any URL or use a code, everything is configured using events.

We transmit 2 types of events:

  • Page View.
  • Lead.

Before proceeding to setting up the conversion, make sure that both types of events are displayed in the landing page analytics.

How to create a conversion?

Reference information from Facebook* on setting up a conversion is available via the link.

  • Go to the pixel settings and click the Create Conversion button.

  • In the conversion settings, select the “Lead” event.

If you don’t have the “Lead” event, go to the landing page, launch the funnel, and wait for the event to be transmitted to the landing page statistics.

  • Instead of the current rule, select “Event Parameters”, and you will see additional parameters.

  • Select the content_category parameter, which transmits the short landing page address.
  • Select the “Contains” rule.
  • Enter the parameter from the prompt in the settings.

Parameters for the “Lead” event:

1) content_name: the title of the mini-landing page
2) content_category: <profile domain>_ml_<mini-landing page id>
3) referrer: a link to the mini-landing page.

Copy the data of the content_category parameter to configure the conversion.

You can also use the content_name parameter, but since you can change the title, we recommend using the address.

After that, name the conversion and click Create.

See the video for detailed instructions:

Please note that it may take from several minutes to several hours for the pixel events to be transmitted and displayed in the statistics.
