The buttons allow you to set options for responses and interactions for your people. Using the buttons, it is much easier to set up actions in the funnel.
There are several types of buttons in VKontakte: choose the one that best suits your script. All types of buttons exist in flows, manual and sequences.
It is possible to place the maximum of 6 buttons in the text block.
There are 20 buttons in the “Question” block.
The VKontakte keyboard has 10 buttons.
The maximum number of characters in a button is 40.
Inline buttons
These buttons are displayed in the message text. They are sent along with the message and remain in the history forever.
The person will be able to click on them several times. In total, you can add 6 online buttons. They can be given different colors.
How to use them?
Use these buttons in cases where, according to the script, it would be appropriate for the person to press the button several times. For example, you can add the buttons “About the author”, “Our services”, “Event program”.
Make sure not to drive a person into an endless circle.
How to add them?
You can add an inline action button to a text message block.
Keyboard
The keyboard is a set of standard keys that are displayed under the input field in the conversation with the person.
These buttons appear once along with the message. If you send another message without the buttons, they will disappear. For regular buttons, you can set 4 colors.
How to use them?
Use these buttons when you need to ask the person to choose an answer. If you can only choose one option according to the script, such buttons will be just right for you, because they will disappear after pressing.
How to add them?
Answers in the “Keyboard” section
Add a special “Keyboard” block and set up the buttons. Keep in mind that you cannot add a keyboard if there were already other buttons in the previous block.
Answers in the “Question” block
In the “Question” block, set the answer options through the settings. They are always light gray in color.
The answer options will be displayed in two columns.
URL buttons
You can add a link to an external site to the URL type button.
It looks like an inline button that is attached to a message and remains in the history. Use this type of button when you need to send a link.
You can add a button to a text message by selecting the URL type.
Why aren’t the buttons displayed?
- The buttons may not be displayed if the capabilities of flows have not been activated in the settings of the VKontakte group. In order for the buttons to appear, go to group management, message settings, and enable flow capabilities. After that, be sure to reconnect (disconnect and reconnect) the channel and test the flow.
- The buttons on the mobile device can be hidden under the “four dots”. Click on the keyboard icon in the conversations.
