It is possible to install a widget on your website for subscribing to channels and groups in order to send website visitors into the messenger funnel.
The subscription widget will help to:
- collect contacts and start an online conversation in a messenger convenient for the visitor (WhatsApp*, VKontakte, Telegram, Viber). All conversations will be reflected in BotHelp, and the received data can be easily transferred to the desired CRM;
- retain website visitors and increase their loyalty. Invite them to subscribe to news about discounts, new arrivals, to get a discount promo code, and bonuses. There are other lead magnets.
Setting up
In the widget settings, you can define its appearance and connect the necessary buttons.
- In the “Growth Tools” section, select “Subscription Widget”.
- Enter the widget name, title, description, image/video, and tags that will be assigned to the person when the funnel is launched.
- Add messenger buttons to display in the widget. You have to select a flow or a sequence that will be launched when you subscribe. For VKontakte, select VK landing page.
- Set a light or a dark widget background.
Type
The widget can be embedded in a page of your website or appear in a separate window.
- The embedded widget is inserted into the site page. The placement and layout are on the user’s side. Example:
- A modal window (pop-up) is a pop—up widget. Example:
- All settings for both types are the same.
If you already have a widget of the same type installed on your website, DO NOT change the type in the settings of the platform’s dashboard.
Display Settings
When you select the “Modal window” (pop-up) widget type, the widget display settings appear.
When the widget appears:
- Immediately. Pop-up appears immediately.
- Within seconds. A field appears for entering the number of seconds (1-3600). The pop-up appears after the specified number of seconds.
- The percentage of page scrolling. A field appears for entering the number of percentages (1-100). Pop-up appears when scrolling the page up to a certain percentage.
Show the widget to the same user again:
- Never.
- Always.
- Hours. A field appears for entering the number of hours. The widget will be shown to this visitor again, but only after the specified number of hours.
If the user has closed the widget, show it again:
- Never.
- Always.
- Hours. A field appears for entering the number of hours. The widget will be shown to this user again after they have closed it, but only after the specified number of hours.
- Days. A field appears for entering the number of days. The widget will be shown to this user again after they have closed it, but only after the specified number of days.
The subscription widget implemented via pop-up is displayed on a third-party site in accordance with the specified display settings.
Installation
- Install the javascript code on your website. This code allows BotHelp to display a widget on your website and monitor contact activity. You only have to install the code on the website once. Add the code to the <head> section on each page of the website.
- Insert the widget. This code allows you to place the widget on the site where you want it to be displayed.
Important: It is enough to install the code on the website once. Then you can change the display and the funnel directly in the widget settings in the profile — they will change automatically on the website.

How to track conversions with a Facebook pixel* when installing a widget on a website?
You have to insert a pixel on the website. Conversion tracking and other analytics in the case of using widgets are on the user’s side.
How to set up data collection (email, phone) on the website via the widget?

Yes, you can use multiple widgets on a page. It is also possible to combine widgets on the site.
How to add a video to a subscription widget?
Since the video embed codes for the widget and for the mini-landing are different, the video that was used on the mini-landing may not be displayed. You have to copy the link to the video through the embed and enter it in the widget subscription settings:
