You can create a “Story Mention” growth tool in your profile. With this setup, the person who tags you in the story will automatically receive a Direct Message, and the flow chain will start (if the option is enabled).

How to set up

  • In your profile, go to the “Growth Tools” section.
  • Click the New Tool button.
  • In the window that opens, select “Story Mention”.

  • In the new window, in the “Trigger Settings” tab, select the desired Instagram* channel and click Next.

  • On the second page, in the “Actions” tab, select the actions that should be performed after you are mentioned by the person. You can type any message. It will be sent to the person’s Direct Messages before the actions are performed.

  • After you have set up the message and all the necessary actions, click Save and Activate.

Now, when a person tags you in their story, they will automatically receive a Direct Message.

A story with a mention looks something like this:
