Token Usage
Token consumption for each AI-agent is individual and fully depends on its use cases and workflows. It can only be accurately estimated during actual usage, based on specific requests and interaction volume.
The tokens displayed in your account are BotHelp tokens. They do not match the tokens used by neural network models.
Actions and features that consume tokens in the account:
- Generating instructions for the AI-agent
- Testing the AI-agent
- Document processing
- “Data Collection” feature
- Communication between the AI-agent and subscribers
Two key factors affecting token usage:
1. Model and the “Data Collection” feature
In standard mode, the AI-agent uses the GPT-4o-mini model, optimized for everyday tasks and fast interactions.
For tasks where completeness and stability are critical — for example, structured data collection from multiple sources — the “Data Collection” mode is available. In this mode, the GPT-4.1 model is used, offering greater stability and more reliable performance for analytical and research tasks.
Important nuance when creating an AI-agent:
- An AI-agent created from scratch without the “Data Collection” feature uses GPT-4o-mini by default.
- An AI-agent created by copying a template inherits all its settings. If “Data Collection” was enabled in the template, it will remain active in the copied version, even without additional configuration.
2. Instruction size and Knowledge Base
The longer the AI-agent’s instructions and the larger the Knowledge Base, the more context the model needs to process for each response. This directly increases token usage.
To optimize token consumption:
- Keep instructions concise
- Upload only necessary documents to the Knowledge Base
Where can you check your token balance?
You can view your token balance in the “Billing” section of your account, provided that the extension is enabled.
Without the extension, this information is not available.
Learn more about enabling the extension in the article.
Top up token balance
You can top up your token balance independently of extensions.
- Token purchases are available for paid accounts via CloudPayments
- This feature is not available for trial accounts
Pricing:
- Minimum package: 10 million tokens — 2,500 RUB
- Maximum package: 100 million tokens — 25,000 RUB
Unused purchased tokens roll over to the next month.
Token usage order:
- Tokens included in the extension are used first
- Then separately purchased tokens are used
Payment details
- On your first token purchase, you need to enter your card details
- The card used for the main subscription and for token purchases can be different
You can enable auto top-up if needed.
After activation:
- Auto top-up will use the amount of your last manual purchase
- If there hasn’t been one, it defaults to 2 million tokens (2,500 RUB)
When auto top-up is triggered
Auto top-up occurs when the token balance drops below:
- 30,000 tokens — for plans without extensions
- 250,000 tokens — for Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans
If the first auto top-up attempt fails due to card issues, two more attempts will be made at 24-hour intervals.
Additional note
Paid accounts without extensions can still view their token balance.
