Sometimes you need to send a subscriber a random message. Usually, this is done to add variety to a sequence. For example, in an online game, you might want different subscribers to receive different messages.
BotHelp doesn’t have a built-in feature to send something randomly — all sequences follow a set script.
However, you can create the illusion of randomness. To do this, you add a series of conditions before sending the message. The more conditions you add, the more random the outcome will appear.
Example of such a sequence:
You can view and copy the template to your account using this link.
As a result of going through these conditions, there are 6 possible outcomes for a subscriber. In this example, they depend on the time, the day of the week when the subscriber enters the sequence, and whether the subscriber’s name contains the letter “e.”
You can also use phone numbers. For example, if the subscriber’s phone number contains the digit 5, one result will happen; if not, then another.
If you save subscriber answers in fields using the “Question” block, you can also use those answers to further diversify possible sequence outcomes.
🚩 You can also implement randomness in message sequences using the “Random Choice” block. More details are available here.
